Instruction for Safe Use
Essential oils are highly concentrated substances which must be used with great caution. Following the steps described below you can safely enjoy the advantages of aromatherapy. If you hav doubts or futher queries, consult your doctor, pharmacist or an experienced aromatherapist.
- Avoid contact with eyes
Avoid using essential oils near the eyes or touching the area around the eyes with hand that may have residue of essential oils. In case of contact, wash your eyes immediately with plenty of clean water.
- Essential oils must not taken orally
Unless following the instruction of a doctor, pharmacist or trained aromatherapist.
- Essential oils must never be used undiluted on skin
Always use them in diluted form, mixed with the suitable base from organic oil or in bathwater, apart from GERANIUM, TEA TREE and LAVENDER, which can be used undiluted.
- Sensitivity or allergic reactions
Some essential oils may cause sensitivity or allergic reactions in certain people. If you have sensitive skin always test for allergic reaction by gently rubbing a small quantity of diluted essential oil on your inner arm area and waiting 24 hours to see if there is any form of reaction.
- Caution with children
Use with great caution when applying essential oils to infants and children under the age of 12. Many essential oils are unsuitable for infants and children and those that are not must be used only in very small quantities and diluted 2-4 times more than the dilution prescribed for adults.
- Essential oils are flammable
Keep them away from source of fire. Use them only in devices that have been designed for this purpose.
